YOGA/MOVEMENT THERAPY FOR KIDS
Yoga / Movement Therapy provides an effective tool for building new motor and behavior skills in children and for re-establishing harmony within
the child and the family. This modality addresses a wide range of concerns such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, developmental disabilities, physical limitations, excessive aggression and depression.
Very often children's difficulties and/or limitations are manifest in their behavior and in their bodily expressions. The therapeutic modality of movement and creative play directly engages
with their behavior, allows for immediate access to the problems, and provides tangible solutions. Parents are encouraged to participate when appropriate, and additional supportive services
are available.
Vitalah is skillful in attuning to the developmental needs of the children and creates movement challenges, yoga postures and games that
specifically address the individual needs of the children.
She has a profound commitment to helping children become grounded, improve impulse control, and become more respectful of themselves and others. Children are empowered to trust
themselves and to allow their natural creativity to flourish.

"Vitalah Simon is a wise and healing woman. Through sessions with her, my four year old flourished in a trust-filled space - a space where he played, talked, and explored his anger, discovering
safe alternatives to expressing it.
In addition, Vitalah worked with me to address larger issues for myself and my family. Her teachings about the family as a "system" through which individuals work,
live and love together, helped me focus my energies in resolving conflicts appropriately. I will always be grateful for her guidance and support."
